Gorham Middle School is having a “Welome to Middle School” evening meeting for PARENTS of in-coming 6th graders on Thursday, April 25 in the Middle School Auditorium. Parents will hear about the transition to middle school and all the school offers our students. Parents will also meet members of the school's support services team, which includes our administrators, the guidance counselors and social worker, the school nurse and instructional strategist and a 6th grade teacher or two. We look forward to seeing all current 5th grade parents at 6:30 and the meeting will
be little over an hour in the GMS Auditorium.

Gorham, Maine is a university town with a population of approximately 16,000 year-round residents, ten miles west of Portland, Maine's largest city. The community values education and has a strong tradition of supporting the public schools. An elected Town Council of seven members governs the Town and a Town Manager serves as the chief operating officer. An elected School Committee of seven members governs the Schools and the Superintendent serves as the chief operating officer.
The School system is a member of the Sebago Educational Alliance and has long enjoyed a cooperative relationship to advance teaching & learning with the University of Southern Maine and St. Joseph's College.
