Michael Lortie
I am the School Counselor at Great Falls Elementary School. I have worked in the Gorham Schools
for almost thirty years, having previously worked at Village, Narragansett and White Rock Schools.
As a school counselor, I offer a variety of services to support student progress and growth
including individual and group support through the RTI process, teacher & parent consultation,
and offer intervention & mediation services to students. In addition, I assist with the
scheduling of the academic testing program and oversee the 504 process.
I live in Gorham with my wife, Jacquie, who is a Literacy teacher at Village School.
My grown adult children attended the Gorham Schools for grades K-12. Josh works for the government
in Washington, DC and Molly is a recent graduate of Brandeis University.
In my spare time, I like to cook and bake wonderful treats, do Sudoku puzzles and walk my
daughter's dog, Jiminy, at Pine Point Beach. In addition, I have been the producer of the high
school musicals at Gorham High School for the past ten years.
